Flooring

The radiant tubing is down on the first floor and we are beginning the hardwood flooring! We found this beautiful, old, salvaged, wide oak plank flooring and I think it is going to be perfect in this space. We decided to use cork for the second floor, flooring which will hopefully be a little more comfortable in a kid's bedroom. We have also sprayed the entire house with primer and have just about one coat of the finish color on as well.
Thank you so much, Phil, for your help and the use of your sprayer. We began the process of painting the window trim which seems like it is going to take a while. It is coming down to crunch time since I am already in my 8th month of pregnancy, but we are still hopeful to be moved in to the house in time!!

Painting and lots more..

This window sill was made from the palownia tree we cut down on the property.
 Master shower taking shape.
Thank you to Phil who came and helped us prime the whole house (except basement) in one day!!

 Kenny taping the beams.
 Rachel covering the windows.
Cedar finding a warm place to sleep.
Jesse cleaning the beams in the master bed.
 Back porch steps.

So basically the entire exterior is finished, minus a little painting and shutters.

Ella and Thatcher helping cart drywall pieces to the dumpsters.
Jesse trying his hand at the paint sprayer.

 At least it's non-toxic paint!!
Old barn boards used for the stairs out of the basement.
(will go the whole way to the 2nd floor)

Happy Thanksgiving

Jesse and I are so thankful for all the love and support that we have been shown over the last year of building.  We have the most amazing family and friends who have donated hours and hours of their time and energy helping us along the way.
Our families were gracious enough to spend their Thanksgiving afternoon helping us with the house.
Thank you! Thank you!
We are truly greatful for your help!!
Thatcher helped Jen, Rachel and I clean (and made a pretty sweet hammerhead shark out of scrap wood!!)
Chandler, Phil and Kenny helped with more 2nd coat of interior plastering.

Thanks Chan... I'm sure this is just want you wanted to be doing on your Thanksgiving break!!

Friday Phil came and helped finish the random width tongue and groove boards on the back porch.
This is Cedar's new favorite place to hang out and welcome visitors:

Jesse also worked on the railing for the front, 2nd floor porch.
and I painted the porch wall
 and Jesse's finished railing.

 Stairs for the back porch:
It is so fun to see the upstairs so clean and ready for the next step!
 Doors are being hung.

Saturday we finished the l-a-s-t of the exterior plastering!!
YAY!
Things are happening fast around here.
I will hopefully have more pictures soon because things have changed already!!

Finishing up the exterior

Things are continuing to progress here at the house.  We decided on flooring, interior trim profiles, Karl and Kent are working on the kitchen (Christiana Cabinetry), drywallers are still working, Dustin is working on finishing up the HVAC system... lots are happening!
Stairs to the mudroom from the driveway.
(I love the huge stone that Jesse picked out for the first step!!)
 Front steps being built:
The entire inside has a first coat of plaster on now!  The sprayer is amazing... and has made it go so much faster!

Random width tongue and groove boards above the stone section:
We will do the same thing to the back, middle porch section that does not have bales.
Paneling on the front of the master where there are no bales (due to interior built in bench and storage in our bedroom)  This is pre-painted.

Handrail for front steps that matches the porch rafters in the back:
